Linking Aadhaar to PAN Card Deadline extended up to December 31, 2017

According to sources it was been in news that it is mandatory to link Aadhaar Card with PAN Card by 31st August 2017 , but now the Government on Thursday extended the deadline by more four months for linking PAN with Aadhaar i.e. till 31st December 2017. This extension has given huge relief to those who have filed their ITR by the due date 5th August 2017, who were unable to link their PAN with Aadhaar Number. The main reason behind deadline extension is because many taxpayers were unable to file their Income Tax Return because they could not link their PAN with Aadhaar. The tax department even had received lots of complaints from taxpayers sayings they were unable to link their Aadhaar with PAN due to their minor difference in name or details in both Aadhaar and PAN, also few people were not holding Aadhaar Card yet.

ITR won't be processed, If you don't link Aadhaar with PAN by Aug 31

The Income Tax Department of India has clearly given deadline to link PAN Card with Aadhaar for taxpayers, and the deadline is by 31st August. Reserve Bank of India Directs Banks Linking Aadhaar Mandatory to Avail Crop Loans

The Reserve Bank of India has directed commercial banks to make linking Aadhaar Mandatory for Farmers to avail short-term crop loans in 2017-2018. "Interest Subvention Scheme for Short Term Crop Loans during the year 2017-18" notification was send to all public and private sector scheduled commercial banks by RBI. This step has been taken by RBI to ensure hassle-free benefits for farmers under interest subvention scheme, the banks are advised to take Aadhaar and link to respective farmers account in order to avail short term crop loans in 2017-2018. This development has been made after approval of central government on the implementation of the interest subvention scheme for the year 2017-18 for short-term crop loans up to ₹3 lakh with some stipulations. Linking Aadhaar with income tax filing, PAN Card, Bank Accounts, and Schemes has now become mandatory as per Government Decision. When you change your job, Provident Fund (PF) Account will be transferred to your new office. So this will relieve the hassles to transfer your Provident Fund Account when job is changed. Currently to transfer PF Account to new place you would have to file application forms, but now this process would be automatically completed if you have Aadhaar Number. If 12 digit-Aadhaar Number is verified and linked with Provident Fund Account then the account will be eligible to get transferred automatically on job change throughout the country without any application. If an employee changes job his PF Account will be transferred without giving any application in three days. Extended Aadhaar Deadline for Free LPG till September

Government of India has extended the deadline for application of Aadhaar by Poor Families urging to avail Free (LPG) Cooking Gas Connection till September. In March 2017 to avail free LPG under scheme Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) Government of India had made Aadhaar Mandatory. Household below poverty line (BPL) were entitled to avail free LPG connection if they furnish their 12 digit Aadhaar Number. Aadhaar Made Mandatory for Kids Staying in Care Homes

Government is planning to make Aadhaar Mandatory for Kids Staying in Care Homes from next month. A child who is found missing should be issued Aadhaar Card before he is admitted to Care Home to ensure faster rehabilitation. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) are also supporting this initiative as it will bring more transparency in tracking child details. Last month there was an incident happened where a 15 years old girl was found missing in Chhattisgarh and later on she was moved to Child Home Care in Delhi. However even after her family was tracked, the girl was not handed over to them because the child welfare committee did not have details of the girl. After her parents complained to The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), the girl was handed over to them. By enrolling Missing Kids for Aadhar before they are taken to Child Care Homes it will become simple process to send them back to their State or Family.
