State Bank of India Sends SMS to Customers to Link Aadhaar with Bank Account by July

There are various cases where SBI bank account holders are receiving SMS from State Bank of India saying to link Aadhaar Number with Bank Account by July 2017 or else they will block their bank account in real the SMS was like "Kindly furnish your Aadhaar no along with copy of the Aadhaar card to seed to your SBI account. Please ensure seeding before 31.07.2017. In case of non-compliance, your account is liable to be blocked. Ignore if already seeded." By seeing such SMS, SBI Bank Account holders are shocked as most of the people don't have Aadhaar Card Still and if they don't furnish their Aadhaar to Bank their Accounts will get blocked in SBI Bank. [Mandatory] How to Link Aadhaar Card Number with Bank Accounts

The Central Government of India has made linking Aadhaar Card Number with Bank Account Mandatory. Failing to link Aadhaar Card Number with Bank Account before the deadline 31st December 2017 will disable and freeze the bank accounts. All bank accounts should be now mandatory linked with Aadhaar Number or else you will not be able to operate your bank account. If you are still not holding Aadhaar Card then get it done as soon as possible, with ID Proof and Address Proof documents you can easily apply for Aadhaar Card. Till date PAN Card was only document which was mandatory required to open bank account or to carry out transactions exceeding Rs.50,000/-. NRI Bank Account Holders Should Link Aadhaar before 30th April

The Tax Department of India has passed an order to link Aadhaar Number with Bank Account latest by 30th April 2017 to avoid your account getting blocked. However the linking of Aadhaar with Bank Account, Insurance or Stock Account is mandatory, only to those who had opened account between July 2014 to August 2015 under the foreign tax compliance act (FATCA). Before Supreme Court of India had ordered that Aadhaar Card can only be mandatory for various welfare schemes, but now it looks Government is trying to push usage of Aadhaar beyond the Supreme Court Order. Bank Accounts not linked with Aadhaar to be Blocked After 30th April

Income Tax Department of India has made Aadhaar to be linked to Bank Account Mandatory to all those banks accounts, insurance, and stocks opened from July 2014 to August 2015. Those who fail to link Aadhaar Number with their Bank Account/ Insurance or Stocks will get their accounts blocked. All account holders under the ambit of the Foreign Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) signed by India and the United States in July 2015 to weed out tax evaders will have to provide self-certification by submitting KYC details and their Aadhaar Number to Bank by 30th April 2017. In case if self-certifications are not provided till April 2017 the accounts will get blocked which will prohibit account holder from effecting any transaction with respect to such accounts.
