Life Insurance Corporation of India has shared a notification on all their social platforms as well as through various medium cautioning Policyholders not to link their Aadhaar Number through SMS. As of now LIC only allows policyholders to get their Aadhaar Number linked with their respective policies through online portal of LIC India, and as of now there is no SMS medium method to link Aadhaar Number with LIC Policy. It is been came of attention of LIC India that some messages are been circulated in social media with LIC logo asking to get Aadhaar Number linked with respective policy by sending SMS to designated number.
