Income Tax Department Introduces Form to link Aadhaar with PAN Card

Income Tax Department has said that PAN Cards will not get cancelled in case if the individuals don't have Aadhaar or Aadhaar Enrolment ID.

Income Tax Department had also introduced one page form which allowed users to link their Aadhaar Number with PAN Card in an ease, apart from this there was also SMS facility launched which allowed individuals to link their Aadhaar Number with PAN.

Now Income Tax Department has launched one more source to link Aadhaar Number with PAN by filling application form, in this form the individual will have to quote his PAN and Aadhaar Number and also spelling of names mentioned on both. The applicant will also have to sign declaration stating that Aadhaar Number provided in Application form has not been provided to link with any other PAN Card. In the same form individual will also have to undertake declaration stating that he has not been allotted any other PAN mentioned other than in the form. “I understand that complete security and confidentiality shall be ensured for my personal identity data provided for the purpose of Aadhaar-based authentication,” the taxpayer will state as part of the declaration.

This form is just another method or source through paper medium which will allow individuals to link Aadhaar Number with PAN.
