All Banks in India including private sector banks will now enable arrange Aadhaar Card Enrolment and Update Service to their customers who have been requested by Government to link their Bank Accounts with their 12 digit Aadhaar Number by 31st December.

Every Bank Account Holder in India will have to link their Aadhaar Card Number with their Bank Account or have to face suspension of the account until Aadhaar is linked. This step by Government has waked up each and every residents to link their Bank Account to Aadhaar Card, and this step will also prevent Money Laundering.

Most of the Banks in India allows its customers to link their Aadhaar Number Online, but most of the people don't have Aadhaar yet or their details in their Aadhaar like Address might not be updated or photograph on Aadhaar Card might not match or might be different from the one which is with Bank Records and there are many other issues which leads to rejection of linking Aadhaar with Bank Account.

Government of India has made sure that in order the residents don't face any difficulties running out here and there to link their Bank Account with UID Number, Government had made provision that all banks will have to provide Aadhaar Enrollment Facility within Bank Premises to their customers if the person doesn't have Aadhaar. The customer need not hunt here and there for Aadhaar Enrolment Center. And incase if the Customer Aadhaar Details are old and he needs to update it to match it with bank records than he can also update his Aadhaar Details same at bank.
