Arrangements has been made by The Regional Office of Employees’ Provident Fund to link Aadhaar Card Number with Universal Account Number.
Linking Aadhaar Number makes the delivery process of the government simple and also enables the beneficiaries to get their entitlements directly in a convenient and seamless manner. Aadhaar Number will be now also required for pensioners of Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS), so all the EPF members who are still working and holding Aadhaar Card should approach their employees to link their Aadhaar Details in their UAN as soon as possible.
The employers should also inform and motivate their members to get their Aadhaar Number linked with UAN. Those who have problem in seeding their Aadhaar with UAN due to data mismatch they can approach the EPF Office, Tirunelveli to get their Aadhaar linked with UAN since the EPFO Regional Office, Tirunelveli has made the arrangements to deal such cases.
For EPS pensioners, EPFO Regional Office Tirunelveli is conducting ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ capturing exercise and for the pensioners who has not yet submitted Digital Life Certificates through Jeevan Pramaan may approach the nearest Common Service Centers (CSC) or EPFO Regional Office, Tirunelveli along with Aadhaar card, Pension Payment Order (PPO), passbook and mobile phone (for receiving One Time Password) for receiving the pension benefits, the statement.
