This post is specially written for those who want to confirm if they had linked their Aadhaar Card Number with their PAN Card Number, and there is a way to check it. Below are the complete steps which you will have to read and follow to verify if Aadhaar Number is linked with PAN Card.

Steps to verify if Aadhaar Number is linked with PAN
  • To verify if Aadhaar Number is linked with PAN Card navigate to Income Tax India Official Website by clicking here.
  • Once you reach on site you will have to fill in the fields asked in link Aadhaar form like PAN Number, Aadhaar Number, Name as per Aadhaar, tick mark on i have only year of birth in Aadhaar Card if only birth of year is quoted on your Aadhaar Card, solve the security code displayed in the image by entering it into the below field and click on link Aadhaar.
  • If you had linked your Aadhaar Number with PAN Card previously than a message will be displayed saying "Your PAN is already linked to given Aadhaar Number". And if your Aadhaar Number was not linked with PAN earlier you will be moved to next screen to link your Aadhaar Number with PAN.
This is how easily you can rectify if your Aadhaar Number was linked with your PAN Card or not.

If you don’t have access of Internet or have lack of knowledge to check it online, you can even verify if Aadhaar Number is linked with PAN Card by sending SMS.

Just type UIDPAN<12 digit Aadhaar><10 digit PAN> and send it to 567678 or 56161 from your registered mobile number.

If your PAN was already linked with your Aadhaar than you will revert saying “Dear Applicant, your Aadhaar XXXXXXXXXXXX is already linked with your PAN XXXXXXXX as per Income Tax records. You need not request again unless there is a change. We thank you for using our services. Regards, UTIITSL.”
