Aadhaar Mandatory for Government School Teachers in Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh Government has made Aadhaar mandatory for all government school teachers. This decision has been taken to bring transparency, Aadhaar Number will be linked to teacher’s bank accounts which can also act as an identification card.

The basic education minister said Aadhaar should be mandatorily linked to all Government teachers by the end of July. In case if the teacher doesn't links their Aadhaar Number, the salary will not get credited into account. It is also said students of Class I to Class VIII government school should get an Aadhaar Card.
