Department of Higher Education (DHE) has made Aadhaar Card Mandatory for candidates of traditional degree courses. The applicants who will be doing their admission will now have to furnish their Aadhaar Number. All student’s data will be verified through Aadhaar Card, so it is mandatory for students to produce their valid Aadhaar Number in the application form.
Department of Higher Education (DHE) has also suggested concerned authorities to advertise this importance of Aadhaar Card in higher secondary schools, so that every students who wants to admit their self for courses will hold Aadhaar Card.
Department of Higher Education (DHE) has also directed UIDAI to conduct mobile Aadhaar Enrolment at the college campuses, so that students, teaching and non-teaching staffs can apply for Aadhaar easily.
This step has been taken by Department of Higher Education (DHE) after recommending with Government of India.
