Aadhaar Card mandatory for Mid-day Meals

Recently Congress member K.C. Venugopal recommend the government in the Lok Sabha not to make Aadhaar Card compulsory for students to avail Mid-day Meals. Also in Lok Sabha the issue was highlighted of quality of rice and no proper space for serving food.

So due to such situations the Ministry of Human Resource Development announced that all cooks and helpers working under mid-day meal scheme and also student s will have to produce Aadhaar Card.

As of now there are 12 crore children’s has been enrolled under Aadhaar Card. Mid-day meal Scheme was been introduced to increase enrolments and attendance of primary education.
